Silicon Carbide Coating by brush/paint
Silicon Carbide is a ceramic compound, that is chemically inert and very hard. We have two coatings available, one which is stable up to medium temperatures and withstands up to 1000 °C on air/in oxidizing atmosphere and one which withstands up to 1400°C on air/in oxidizing atmosphere. The hardness of SiC gives the coating high resistivity against abrasion.
- Extends lifetime of graphite parts,
- Provides a hard surface, resistant to abrasion,
- Withstands cyclic use,
- Above 700 °C forms pores-sealing coating.
